Dallas is a typical Texan town, which inspite of being a very progressive has held on to the flavors of Texas. It is the third largest city in the state of Texas and the ninth largest in USA. It was founded in 1841 and finally incorporated as a city in 1865. Being the part of one of the largest inland metropolitan areas Dallas does not have any navigational facilities. But this fact does diminish Dallas's importance. Having a large reservoir of petroleum, Dallas has a historical importance attached to it. It houses few of the tallest buildings of America and is considered to be the 15th tallest city of the world.

Dallas is a major tourist destination of Southwest America. It houses such venues as the Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Arboretum and the unique Dallas World Aquarium and Zoological Gardens. The mundane city life of Dallas has an exception in the famous Greenville Avenue. The Greenville Avenue stretches between the Ross Avenue and the Mockingbird lane. It presents the vibrant face of Dallas in front of its tourists. The place is one of the oldest entertainment hubs of Dallas and houses a number of boutiques, shops, restaurants and nightclubs.

The Greenville Avenue is located in the Northeast part of Downtown Dallas. The district is divided into three parts, viz. Upper, lower and Lowest Greenville. The cosmopolitan services of Upper Greenville makes it famous, while lower Greenville is known for its collection of unique shops and restaurants. The 1920s neighborhood add a touch of old world charm to the place. Lowest Greenville boasts of housing dazzling nightclubs, pubs and several ethnic restaurants.
